The first thing you need to do is determine if your video is in `digital format`(MiniDV-Digital8-MicroMV-Digital Tapeless-DVD).Or `analog format`(8mm-hi8-VHS-C).If its digital format, you will need to transfer the video to the P.C. using a `Firewire-card`.If its analog format you will need an `Analog to Digital` conversion in order to transfer to your P.C. Then its time to record your video ready to up-load, follow the tips below for creating your video.
Clean the lens, so there is no smudges and you can get a clear shot of the vehicle.
Remember to check the battery, you do not want to get half way through and it run out.
Take a little time to plan how you will take your video. A full 360 angle, alloy wheels, the interior and in what order. This is your chance to sell.
Do not shoot your video directly into the sun.It causes distortion and your vehicle will not be visable
When recording keep camera on wide lens(if optional) it will help make your shot more steady.
Try not to use the `zoom` when recording. If you want a closer shot, move closer your vehicle rather than zooming in.
If you record with your camera `zoomed-in` the shot will be unsteady.
If you `pan or tilt` do it very slow, this will help cut down on any distortion.
If using sound( Optional you dont have to, but better for customers to hear engine).Its important to try get the best sound.
Watch out for background noise, low flying aircraft, blustery winds, kids playing, people talking.
Do not move your hands around the camera when recording, it will cause an obtrusive noise and deminish the overall quality of your video.
If showing the `sound system` of the vehicle, do not play to loud. This causes distrotion and will make the best `sound system` sound like the `worst`.
